Linear Exhibit
Known as the ‘in-line’ exhibits in the trade show biz, linear exhibit setups are your no-frill options. You have got neighbors on both sides, and just one side facing the aisle. But, here’s the twist – you can turn it into a corner exhibit, giving you exposure on two sides. In the Linear exhibit setup, however, heads-up and hanging signs are usually not allowed. Linear exhibits are typically a solid 10’ by 10’ (about 3.05m by 3.05m). The max height is 8 feet. You can keep that 8-foot height on the sidewall of your trade show displays for up to 5 feet from the front aisle. So, stick to these rules while setting the linear exhibit, and you’re good to go.
Perimeter Exhibit
A perimeter display is essentially a linear booth that adds a dash of flair – it’s the exhibit that buddies up to an outside wall of the exhibit facility, not the one installed between others. These exhibits usually max out at 12 feet in height, and you can rock that height up to 5 feet from the front aisle. For the rest of the sidewall, keep it under 4 feet. Just so you know, hanging signs are usually not allowed in this booth setup.
Peninsula Exhibit
The term ‘peninsula exhibit comes from its unique setup – it’s like the display that’s the life of the event, with aisles on three sides. Usually, it’s a combo of at least four exhibits. Now, depending on your vibe, you’ve got two flavors to choose from: ones that cozy up to linear exhibits and others that chill with fellow peninsula displays. For the heights: if you're next to linear exhibits, keep the back wall at 4 feet within 5 feet of side aisles, but it can soar to 16-20 feet in the middle, staying within 10 feet from the back wall. Split island exhibits? They've got a strict 16-20 feet max height everywhere, no exceptions.
Island Exhibit
You're rocking an island stand if your exhibit is completely open on all four sides. The typical size of these exposition displays is 20 feet by 20 feet, or even bigger. You have permission to erect all of your glitzy signs and use the full area up to the permitted height, which can range from 16 to 20 feet, depending on the scenario. And what's this? All island stands are completely permitted to have hanging signs. So go ahead and let your brand soar; the possibilities are endless!
